Discipline
Suspension
For serious infractions of school rules (truancy,
fighting, smoking, stealing, vandalism, immorality, possession of drugs,
alcohol, or weapons and any other matter deemed serious), it may be
necessary for the administrators of the school to suspend a student from
school.
If a student is to be suspended by the school
administrator, the administrator will:
1. Notify the parents as soon as possible of the
suspension, the reasons for it, and the steps necessary to effectuate
the student's return.
2. Meet within a reasonable time with the parents or
guardian and the student to plan the student's return to the school
setting.
If the parents or guardian are dissatisfied with this
action, they may appeal to the pastor immediately.
The suspension will be considered an ordinary absence.
Truant officers must be advised if suspension is
implemented.
