Science

The Silver Burdett Series "Science Discovery Works" is used in Grades K-6.  This series is comprehensive in scope, covering a variety of topics from all science disciplines.  Meaningful connections are made between science and other areas of the curriculum so that students are aware of how fundamental it is to every aspect of their lives.  The program is challenging, yet understandable.  Students will understand science because concepts and processes are presented at the appropriate developmental level.

The Junior High Science Program is the new "Focus on Life Science" and "Focus on Physical Science" by Merrill.  This program provides the content students need for the 90's with sufficient review and reinforcement.  Simple-to-complex sequences of topics help promote better student understanding.
